Chicago shooting: six shot dead by rooftop sniper at July 4th parade

AT least six people were killed and 24 injured in a shooting at a July 4th parade near Chicago. A rooftop sniper opened fire on revellers yesterday in the affluent neighbourhood of Highland Park. Police said the Independence Day horror remained an “active incident” last night with the gunman still at large.
